How gift card rates work in Nigeria

Understand what a gift card rate means, why quotes differ between cards, and how to check your naira payout with VinX before sending a card.

A gift card rate is the naira amount offered for one unit of the card's currency. Your quoted payout depends on that rate, the card's face value and how many cards you want to sell. VinX shows the rate and the total amount labelled You get before asking you to send a card. The quote is for the exact card details you entered, so a rate you saw for a different card may not apply to yours.

Rate and payout are different numbers

The rate is the amount offered per currency unit, such as naira per dollar. The payout is the total in naira for your trade: rate × face value × number of cards. For a $100 card, the bot applies the displayed naira-per-dollar rate to 100 dollars. If you enter more than one card of the same type, it shows the combined payout before you decide.

Check You get, not only the rate line. The total payout is the amount VinX is offering for the cards in that quote if all of them are confirmed after you send them.

Why two cards can receive different quotes

Start with the brand and country. A card issued for one country may be priced differently from the same brand’s card issued elsewhere. VinX also asks whether you have an e-code or a physical card, plus the face value and number of cards. Where a receipt is relevant, it asks what kind you have before quoting.

Some brands are priced by card series. VinX may ask you to select the series or enter the first four to six digits printed on the card. Those digits help identify the correct quote; they are not a request to post the full card number publicly. Give the bot the exact details of the card you hold so the displayed payout is relevant to it.

Why a rate can change

The available price for a card and the naira conversion used for a quote can change. A rate seen yesterday, in a shared screenshot or for another card is not a promise of today’s payout. VinX checks the selected card’s details when you ask for a quote. Sometimes there is no usable rate for that card at that moment.

A bot quote is valid for 10 minutes. If it expires, tap Get New Rate to request a fresh quote and read the new You get amount before deciding. The new payout may be different.

Check the payout before sending your card

The calculator on vinxapp.com can give you a first look at the payout for one card when a current rate is available. If it cannot show a rate, open VinX on Telegram to ask for today’s quote. In the bot, choose the brand, country and card form, then enter the face value and quantity. Select the card series and receipt type if asked. Read the rate and total payout before you tap Accept. If the offer does not work for you, you do not have to send the card.

Compare quotes for the same brand, country, form, face value, number of cards and card series where relevant. If the bot asks about a receipt, give the correct answer so it can prepare the trade. A higher rate shown for a different card does not tell you what your own card will pay. The You get amount is the clearest number to compare for the trade you are considering.

When the quoted payout reaches your wallet

Accepting a quote does not credit your wallet. After you accept, the bot asks for the code or photos needed to check the card. If the card is confirmed, VinX credits the payout to your wallet; you can then request a withdrawal to a Nigerian bank account.
